FAQs
Is this a replacement for professional therapy?
Bill’s coaching is not a substitute for licensed mental health treatment. Instead, it offers mentoring, encouragement, and practical steps for growth. For those already in therapy, coaching can be a supportive complement.
How does faith play a role in the sessions?
Faith is central to Bill’s story, but he meets each person where they are and is trained and educated in several faith traditions. If you want to explore recovery and growth with a Christian discipleship focus, Bill can guide you in that way. If not, he’ll still offer the same care, wisdom, and encouragement.
Is what I share kept confidential?
Yes. As a certified addiction counselor Bill is held to the highest standards of treatment efficacy and confidentiality (https://www.naadac.org/code-of-ethics). Bill treats every conversation with respect and confidentiality.
What does it cost to meet with Bill?
Bill offers several options depending on the level of support you’re looking for, from a free or low-cost introductory session to more structured, ongoing coaching. Sliding-scale or donation-based arrangements may also be possible.
What should I expect in a first session?
Our first conversation is simply a chance to connect. Bill will listen to your story, learn about your goals, and help you consider what next steps might be helpful. There’s no pressure, just an open invitation to begin the journey toward hope and healing.
Can I meet with Bill in person or only online?
Both options are available depending on your location. Many clients prefer online sessions for convenience, while others value the personal connection of meeting face-to-face.
